ESCoE’s Annual Conferences cover all aspects of the measurement and use of economic statistics, including: the productivity puzzle, the digital economy, National Accounts and ‘Beyond GDP’, regional statistics, measurement using big data and administrative data, international trade flows and the location of economic activity.

Our first conference, ESCoE Conference on Economic Measurement 2018  followed up on the concepts and challenges raised in the Bean Review and discussed at the ONS International Conference on Economic Statistics 2017.

This years’ conference, ESCoE Conference on Economic Measurement 2019 covered recent developments in the measurement and use of economic statistics, including: the productivity puzzle, the digital economy, National Accounts and ‘Beyond GDP’, regional statistics, measurement using big data and administrative data, international trade flows and the location of economic activity.

We will be continuing the conversation next year at Economic Measurement 2020 to be held at King’s College London, 20th – 22nd  May. The call for papers will open in November 2019.
