ESCoE and Pro Bono Economics to Conduct Civil Society Satellite Account Feasibility Research

ESCoE, in collaboration with Pro Bono Economics, is to conduct a feasibility study and develop a preliminary framework for a civil society satellite account.

This satellite account would allow data to be aggregated to better understand the economic value of the sector.

The research is funded by the Department for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport (DCMS) and will include conceptual and practical work, including research into definitions, data sources and user needs.

This partnership between ESCoE and Pro Bono Economics builds on a recent ESCoE Discussion Paper by Josh Martin (ESCoE Topic Lead) and Jon Franklin (Pro Bono Economics Chief Economist) – ‘Fuller Measures of Output, Input and Productivity in the Non-profit Sector: A Proof of Concept‘, ESCoE DP2022-24.

The work commences immediately and will run until February 2023.
