ESCoE will hold its annual conference, organised in partnership with the UK Office for National Statistics (ONS), on 19-21 May 2026 at King’s Business School, King’s College London.
The conference is free to attend and will be held in person.
Keynote speakers include:

- André Loranger (Chief Statistician of Canada, Statistics Canada)
- Michael McMahon (Professor of Economics, University of Oxford)

Conference dinner
There will be a conference dinner at 17:45 on Wednesday, 20 May. The cost for the dinner is £50, with a discount available for ONS delegates. If you would like to attend, please indicate your interest when registering for the conference. Please note that the dinner must be paid for in advance through King’s College London eStore, as bookings will not be accepted on the day.
The programme includes papers on many aspects of the measurement and use of economic statistics, focusing on:
- Inclusive wealth measures and looking beyond GDP
- Net-zero, climate change and the environment
- National Accounts, including price measurement
- Globalisation
- Productivity and innovation, including public sector productivity
- Developing methodologies for new data sources
- Labour markets, households and inequality
- Subnational statistics
- Communicating and valuing economic statistics
