ESCoE and Experian ran a workshop on developing wealth and assets survey data for the UK. The workshop took place on 30 September 2025 at 10 Union Street, London.
The one-day workshop brought together experts from Experian, the Office for National Statistics, academia and other relevant organisations.
It aimed to explore how existing data on consumer savings, investment and wealth could be improved to enable better decision making within Central Government, Local Authorities and commercial organisations and to support better academic research in economic measurement.
Discussions included:
- The use of wealth and assets data by the credit industry.
- The latest plans for household surveys by the Office for National Statistics.
- Perspectives from academic users on why wealth and assets data are useful and what elements are missing.
- The future direction for wealth and assets survey data and its uses in the financial sector, government and academia.
