Hamid Nejadghorban

Hamid is a Research Fellow in Econometric Modelling at UCL’s Institute for Sustainable Resources. He holds a PhD in Economics from the University of Essex.

His research focuses on the intersection of advanced econometrics, machine learning, and causal inference to understand how markets and policies shape sustainable outcomes.

Hamid frequently contributes to high-profile policy evaluations for UK government departments, including DESNZ, ONS, HMRC, and BEIS, providing robust evidence to inform energy market interventions, green innovation strategies, and the broader transition to a low-carbon economy.
