Michel Serafinelli
Michel Serafinelli is a Senior Lecturer in Economics at King’s Business School, King’s College London.
His primary fields are Labour & Regional Economics. Much of his current work is at the intersection of his primary fields and Environmental Economics; more generally, some of his research has a Political Economy angle. He mainly studies the causes and the consequences of differences across space in labour market outcomes. Within this agenda, research keywords are green transition, manufacturing, regional institutions; policy keywords are “levelling up” and “just transition”.
His work has been published in journals including Review of Economics and Statistics and Journal of the European Economic Association.
He is a Research Fellow at IZA, CESifo, CReAM, and an Associate Editor at the Economic Journal.
Previously he was at University of Toronto and University of Essex; he holds a PhD from Berkeley.
