Takafumi Kawakubo

Takafumi Kawakubo is a Research Associate at the ESCoE. His current work focuses on business surveys, firm expectations, management practices, and productivity, aiming to understand and explain management practices to promote higher productivity in UK businesses.

Taka’s research interest lies at the intersection of international, public and development economics. His PhD study works on micro-empirical analyses of firm-to-firm transactions and investigates the effects of tax and other government policies on firms’ economic activities. Taka holds an MRes in Economics from the LSE, as well as a BA and an MA in Economics from the University of Tokyo.
