ESCoE is a hub of world-leading expertise built around to the analysis of emerging and future issues in measuring the economy. We aim to be an international point of reference for measurement research, supporting cultural change in the delivery of economic statistics. We aim to do this through building expertise, increasing collaboration between statistics producers, academia, policymakers and other data users, and raising the profile of economic measurement issues.

In order to achieve this, we foster a culture of equality, diversity, inclusivity, professionalism and integrity whilst maintaining high ethical standards. All research should be conducted honestly, transparently, impartially and in compliance with all legal requirements, acknowledging the contributions of all involved. Any conflict of interest should be disclosed.

All members of the ESCoE community – including those attending our events, or on social media – should be treated courteously, respectfully and with dignity. We have a zero-tolerance policy to any bullying or harassment.

Any breach of this code should be reported immediately to the ESCoE Operations Director, who will then raise it with the ESCoE Leadership Executive. The Leadership Executive will then take actions that they feel to be appropriate. Any complaint that involves a potential criminal offence or violation will be reported to the appropriate authority.
