The 38th IARIW General Conference, organised in partnership with the UK Office for National Statistics (ONS) and the Economic Statistics Centre of Excellence (ESCoE), took place on 26-30 August 2024.
The IARIW (International Association for Research in Income and Wealth) advances knowledge on income and wealth for better measurement and outcomes.
Topics included:
- The definition, measurement, and analysis of national income and wealth
- The distribution of income and wealth, and poverty
- The development of systems of economic and social accounting and their use for economic policy
- International comparisons
IARIW ran optional training sessions before the conference on 24 and 25 August. These focused on National Accounts and poverty measurement.
