Alex Bryson

Alex Bryson is Professor of Quantitative Social Science at UCL’s Social Research Institute, and a Research Fellow at the National Institute of Economic and Social Research, the IZA Institute of Labor Economics, the Rockwool Foundation and ESCoE.

He is Editor-in-Chief of Industrial Relations: A Journal of Economy and Society and an editor of the Journal of the Royal Statistical Society Series A and the Journal of Participation and Employee Ownership.

Alex is an applied labour economist with a background in sociology. His research focuses on work and employment relations.

He also works on health and labour market outcomes, sports economics, workers’ well-being, management practices and their effects on workers and firms, and gender and race gaps in the labour market.
