Josh Martin
Josh is an economic adviser to Alan Taylor at the Bank of England. He previously worked at the Office for National Statistics (ONS) between 2016 and 2022 in a variety of roles, most recently as Head of Productivity statistics. His previous work at the ONS included measuring intangible assets and infrastructure, measuring the productivity of public services, and microdata analysis. He has a keen interest in measuring capital, having worked extensively on improving ONS’ capital investment and stocks data. Josh was awarded an NBER Summers Fellowship in 2024.
